Signs of Labor

Every mom is different, but if she has these signs then she may be in labor or about to go into labor:

  • Mom may feel the baby “drop.”

  • Mom has contractions that will happen more often.

  • Mom may see a pink or red thick discharge, also called “show” or “bloody show,” that can occur minutes, hours, or days before labor.

  • Mom’s water breaks. This may happen all at once or be more like a trickle.

Mom should check-in with her doctor when she has any of these symptoms – even just one of them!
