text4FATHER is a free text-messaging program that sends two texts every week to fathers-to-be timed to their baby's birth date starting during their partner’s pregnancy through the first months after their baby is born.

Text message content was designed with feedback from national experts to ensure that fathers receive the most up-to date and accurate information about their baby’s development, partner support, cooperative coparenting, and supporting their role as a father.

Supports from text4FATHER have come from a Discovery Award from the Johns Hopkins University, the National Institute for Child Health and Human Development (NIH R21 HD097453), the Thomas Wilson Foundation, Hopkins COVID Bridge Funding, the National Institute for Child Health and Human Development (NIH R21 HD112617), and the Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB R40 MC53072). The text4FATHER team is comprised of a multidisciplinary group of health professionals dedicated to improving the lives of children and engaging men in health.
